Singleness is not Lonliness

Are you single now? Well, give me five then. (Me too! :-D)

Believe it or not, single women nowadays tend to pity on themselves because of this status. "We" sometimes lock ourselves in our room on Saturday night, write a romantic-yet-sad poem, or stare out of the window imagining our future prince will come riding on a flying horse. :-P

Well, knock it off girls.

From now on, you can start imitating what I do. You can call me a maniac, but I'm glad that at least I have a thing that is seen in me. haha. 

As a single woman, I keep on doing many things to distract the feeling. Well yeah, I couldn't agree more that the feeling of being single remains in my heart, but don't let it make us down.

On Saturday night, I keep on making myself busy with activities at church. There, I meet many friends that cheer me up and brighten my Saturday. I also develop my social life with my friends. It's not only girls but boys too. I share many things to them. They are such a mood booster to me. You can do this also. Make friends with everyone. Who knows that one of them will be your prince? 

What about the other days?

You can start making a list of what you will do after work/school. For example like what I do. I do not want to let any of my spare time leads me to the box of singleness in my brain. After working, I will take my hand phone, open Smule app, and sing. Another activity you can do is that you can start listing books that you can read in maybe one week ahead. Trust me, reading a book is the best activity also to kill time. When you are into the story or topic the books bring, you will have a wonderful journey there without worrying about your status. If you have a Bible study group or connect group, you can also join them. Call your friends to hang out after work. 

Actually, there are many activities we can do to distract our singleness. All of this can be done with these three things: positive mind, strong determination, and prayer.

Keep on doing what is good. Remember that everything will be beautiful in its time.
