Singing Rehearsal

What do you feel when you see a singer sings in a big competition such as Indonesian Idol, American Idol, or X-Factor?

I believe that at least you imagine that you were the one who stood there right? Because you think, It is great to stand there. Well, I'm telling you that being a singer is not that easy. You need to do a lot of practices. If you don't practice your voice, you will end up like me.

This month I'm preparing my voice to join a competition in June. The preparations involve voice rehearsal, respiratory rehearsal, performance rehearsal, and many other things. By these rehearsals I knew that I need to fix my voice because I haven't practiced for so long! I am too busy with the school stuff but I tell you, they are so tiring! I have to practice my voice everyday without eating ice cream, fried food, and other dangerous food. 

Sometimes I get so tired because I have to reach the high tone for the songs. I don't lie. It is so tiring though the competition is still in the region level. I can't imagine how about those who join an international competition. I believe that their rehearsals will be more difficult than me.

However, a really tough effort will get a best result, so I will not give up until I finish it all.

I do not know what your battle is right now but keep on believing and practicing until you get the best!

The Shield

Yesterday in my last subject in school I tried to sit in the back row to feel a different situation. Usually I sit in the front row anyway, why? Well I have two reasons for this. Firstly, I got minus in both my eyes, secondly I do wanna pay attention to what the lecturer says during the lesson.

[Okay, I've got to be honest, yesterday I was too sleepy to join that subject, so I sat in the back. Pssshhhhh, don't tell my lecturer about this. LOL.]

Back to the story. You know what, when I sat in the back row, I saw a phenomenon that was so interesting. When my lecturer was explaining the lesson, there were none of my friends in the back row who paid attention to her carefully.They yawned, played their phones, played their feet, or even just bowed their heads and prayed. Though I was sleepy, I still took a note to write all the lesson down but not with them.

Well actually, I got mad. With this kind of phenomenon It means that they have used us who always sit in the front row as shields to protect their secret activities. OMG. It was so pathetic.

Here is what they exactly did. They put their phone on the book on the table, and pretended to nod as if they understood what the lecturer said, then hid behind the back of those who sat in the front row. Yeahhhh They used my back as shield also then. Hah! I got it now! Such a great way, right?

For all this time, I thought that they really paid attention to the lecturer. I tell you what! The lecturer who taught me in the last subject is one of the most assertive lecturer in my faculty. How dare they did it in front of her? What a brave deed.

Take A Bath In The Morning

Hi! We meet again.

Sunday morning and Monday morning are mornings that sometime make me difficult to wake up. Do you feel the same?

On Sunday morning I have to get up early to go to the church, while the previous day is Saturday which is the lazy day where I usually  watch movie until midnight to refresh my brain from my routine at school. On Monday Morning, I have to get up early also because I have a class at 7 A.M.

Everytime these mornings come, I cannot open my eyes that fast. Sometime I need time to realize what day is this day. LOL

However, I have a special way in overcoming this problem. After I wake up in the morning, I won't let myself to sleep again but I go to take a bath as soon as possible. Even though it's difficult for me, I still force myself to take a bath and here's what I get; I become fresher than before. The thing that sometimes makes us too lazy to wake up is the water when we go to bath., right? But no sooner will the water touch your body than you become fresher. Believe me, It works!

Therefore, I never hesitate to go to bath in the morning. You should try it all; Take a bath in the morning though it's hard for you to wake up from your dream journey.

Saturday, What A Busy Day!

Hello everyone.. It's nice to meet you again.

Now, I want to ask you something. What do you think about Saturday? Is it a great day or a bad day?

Well I do believe that some people will say that Saturday is a great day, because it's a holiday where you can go to refresh your brain after work days (Monday to Friday) with your family, but not for me.

Saturday is a busy day for me. Every week on Saturday I have to get up early in the morning at 4 o'clock and go to the radio to do radiobroadcast. Then I will stay at the radio which is my office until 5 P.M because I have about 4 programs to lead at 5 A.M, 9 A.M, 02.00-05.00 P.M.

Some youth at my age will prefer to sleep at home and maybe go to fun places or whatever, but I don't, Why? It's because I want to earn my own money. Though sometimes I feel so tired, I have to keep going, because working on weekend teaches me a lot of lessons.

It teaches me to work harder than my other friends. Instead of playing to some unknown places, I would rather sacrifice my time to get more experiences in working on weekend so I might have a story to tell to my descendants. However, I don't want to be that hypocrite and hiding my feeling that sometimes I get jealous to those who can play on weekend. But what can I do? I have to do this because I don't want to ask my dad's money to buy my own make-up, clothes, or shoes. Buying things by my own money will teach me how to appreciate everything, because I buy them by my own effort.

Working on weekend (or working while studying) also teaches me how to manage my time. I have to be so smart in managing the time to study, to do the homeworks, and to do the job's assignments. When you have become expert in managing your time, then you are certainly ready to manage your family time when you get married someday.

Well, I'm not trying to force you to do the same like I do. Working while studying is a choice. Don't do it if you are not ready. You can ruin your own life if you can't manage your time well.

For me, as long as you live your life with gratitude, then it will be fine.

Stand Up Comedy

 Hello everyone,

Beside singing, playing guitar, and watching movies, I also like watching a comedy show such as stand up comedy.

I have one favorite show on Kompas TV called "SUCI - Stand Up Comedy Indonesia".

Have you ever watched it? It's a really great show because it always makes me laugh and smile. You should watch it sometimes.

Anyway, there are some advantages of watching stand up comedy show that I found.

Firstly, a show such as stand up comedy can give you inspiration and information of social life that sometimes you ignore. Beside making you laugh with their materials, they can also give you information such as a social life in the east of Indonesia or in Javanese' life, the minority group's life, etc. Moreover, If you pay attention to it closely, they also like to bring the politics issues, the injustice issues, illegal logging issues,etc in Indonesia in order to satirize the government so that the government can do something about it. Stand up Comedy can make you smart in a fun way. It symbolizes the smart and elegant youth of Indonesia. :-D

Secondly, Stand up comedy can make you ageless because it makes you laugh everytime you watch it. 

You know what? Instead of seeing such a pathetic and akward serial movies of Indonesia, I prefer to watch Stand Up Comedy. Therefore, for me, Stand up comedy can make me smart and ageless. 

Well, I just want to encourage you to start selecting shows you want to watch.

Remember! The thing that you watch can influence your way of thinking and behaving.

Passion

Have you ever felt that you really want to do something you love even if no one is paying you for it?

Well, for me, that's what I call as passion.

Everytime that "Passion" comes, I'm gonna do anything I like until I make it perfect and done.

For instance is making this blog. When the idea of making a new blog came into my mind, I'm willing to sacrifice my time, my effort, my energy, and everything I get to make it good in my version.

The other example is that when I make a new song. The melody likes to come whenever it wants too. so at the moment it comes, I usually go to get my guitar, my recorder, and my computer and record the melody. If I don't do it then the melody will be gone.

Passion will encourage you to do something more and reach the maximum point.

Now, maybe you ask me, how to make that passion comes?

Well, first and foremost, do not postpone what you want to do at the moment. If you postpone it, your spirit to do it will be gone by the time. Therefore, everytime, the idea of doing something you love comes, do it as quickly as you can and gain your passion.

Secondly, think about the result that you will get. In flourishing passion, you need to think what kind of result you want, the bad one, the medium one, or the perfect one. I believe that no one wants the bad one, so if your goal is the perfect one, then at the moment, your passion has already been there.

Now, are you ready to flourish your passion?

Hold her hands while you can!

Today I had a chance to accompany my mom in shopping some bags. Well, I've got to be honest to you guys that I don't really like to go shopping. It's a boring activity.

When my mom asked me whether I would like to accompany her or not, suddenly The Voice within my heart told me ; "Just say yes, while you still got a chance to hold her hands.!"

Without thinking twice, I just said "Yess!"

Along the street I held her hands and enjoyed my time together with her.

Therefore, for all of you, the youth, please appreciate your precious time with your mother, while you still have a chance to hold her hands!
